Frequently Asked Questions

Position on the location of a future gay state:

Everyone wants to know "where" this state should be. We have not found a suitable location for it yet, and we do not expect to find one in the immediate future. Before any location can be determined, we must create a network of institutions, which forms the substance of the state. The territory itself is only a substratum on which the state exists.

Position on Israel:

We fully acknowledge the right of Israel to exist and wish all its citizens and residents the best, independently from their religious or ethnic belongings. We acknowledge both the right of Israel for self-defense and its obligations as a member state of the United Nations.

Position on a "colony in Lebanon":

To our knowledge, Lebanon has never entered our discussions. In any event, Lebanon is not a suitable location for a gay state. We do not know who distributes such stories in the internet forums or for what purpose.

Position on "breeding of a master-race of homosexuals":

The idea that we seek to produce some sort of "master-race of homosexuals" belongs to the same pulk of absurdities as the idea that we "seek the aid of Israel to form a colony in Lebanon". You will indeed find such suggestions coming from several posters in our forum (which is open for everybody), but we as organization never endorsed such views. We seek self-determination for our people, not some Frankenstein's experiment.

Position on "taking over" some existing state:

We thought this was clear, evidently it is not. Read our Program:

"We will not begin by making territorial claims on lands owned by another sovereign nation. We will also not declare any futile wars, or urge the violent overthrow of any existing nation. Instead, we offer a realistic method for forming a wide base of committed, interested and dedicated followers from across the spectrum of the GLBT community who wish to see a true, free and democratic state to call their own come into existence through legally sustainable, peaceful means. The power shall lay in the hands of the inhabitants fully of its own volition; any premature, non-substantial declarations of “independence” or ill-fated attempts to secede from an existing country through violent means shall be regarded as nonconstructive and noxious for our cause."
